Bisagra invited Pierina Másquez. Pierina contacted Ingrid Pumayalla; they had not met before, but she admired her work. Ingrid invited Tamara Jacquin; she met her at an artist’s residence. Tamara proposed Andrea Hauer. Both of them shared a studio in Madrid. Andrea knew the work of Cristina Flores, who was a friend of Ingrid. They finally selected Cristina as the fifth and final artist.

Each artist invited the following and made a selection of her work for this show, while they all engaged in an extended dialogue about their practices, the connections between the selected pieces and their personal experiences. For them, the methodology and collective structure of this process and virtual exhibition is related to a poem by Jorge Eduardo Eielson written in 1955:

Cuerpo multiplicado

No tengo límites
Mi piel es una puerta abierta
Y mi cerebro una casa vacía
La punta de mis dedos toca fácilmente
El firmamento y el piso de madera
No tengo pies ni cabeza
Mis brazos y mis piernas
Son los brazos y las piernas
De un animal que estornuda
Y que no tiene límites
Si gozo somos todos que gozamos
Aunque no todos gocen
Si lloro somos todos que lloramos
Aunque no todos lloren
Si me siento en una silla
Son millares que se sientan
En su silla
Y si fumo un cigarrillo
El humo llega a las estrellas
La misma película en colores
En la misma sala oscura
Me reúne y me separa de todos
